A splash of pink comes to the wood

Its been quite quiet in the wood, the ground has been drying out after all that rain, I have been planting bulbs and now the buds are appearing...spring is almost here. The horse chestnut tree will soon be in leaf
and the apple and pear trees have buds on too

but by far the most colourful is the Prunus spring glow tree at the bottom of the wood near my dads oak,it brings a touch of pink to Bedford Wood
The willow has shown signs of growth too
which is quite exciting as I have big plans for the willow. The roses around the arches are growing too,
Its the first year that the wood has been all planted and I am looking forward to watching it establish itself and how it changes with the seasons.

It is quite exciting to see the trees budding, but even more so when you know that you have been the one who planted these trees.
